This EH&S product standards protocol for Australia addresses product-related obligations of producers and
importers, and is intended to be used by corporate or facility-based auditors to assess general
compliance with Australian Commonwealth (national) requirements as they pertain to a range of
product-related obligations set forth in legislation. The specific topics covered are as follows:
Part I - General Requirements Section 2.0 Product Safety and Consumer Protection Section 7.0 Therapeutic Goods This protocol is divided into two parts. Part 1 applies generally to the manufacture and distribution of products, focusing on requirements that apply across product categories. Part 2 of the protocol addresses categories of products that are specifically regulated in Australia in such a way that the requirements are uniform across Australia.
