This protocol has been prepared to reflect the principal environmental, health and safety (E&S) legislation that applies to facilities located in the Republic of Ireland ("Ireland"). Northern Ireland, which occupies the northeasterly part of the island of Ireland, is excluded from this discussion (see United Kingdom protocol).
