Important clarifying information is often furnished either as a "Note" to a particular question or in an accompanying table or appendix.

This protocol has been prepared to reflect the principal environmental, health and safety legislation and regulations (hereinafter collectively referred to as "EH&S legislation") that apply to facilities located in the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as "Russia").

Regulating bodies for Russia include:

• Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation

• Law No.181-FZ of July 17, 1999, on the Principles of Labor Protection in the Russian Federation
