Jon Elliott has made a major contribution to STP's product range for over 20 years. He has been involved in developing the above titles and continues to write quarterly updates for all these publications.

Mr. Elliott has a diverse educational background. In addition to his Juris Doctor (University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law - 1981), he holds a Master of Public Policy (Goldman School of Public Policy [GSPP], UC Berkeley - 1980), and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Princeton University - 1977). Mr. Elliott is active in professional organizations. He is a past chairman of the Board of Directors of the GSPP Alumni Association, and past member of the Executive Committee of the State Bar of California's Environmental Law Section (including past chair of its Legislative Committee).

Mr. Elliott's professional experience includes:

• Practicing attorney in California, and also a Registered Environmental Assessor (REA-1)
• Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) consultant and legal advisor (since 1985): manages and/or supports compliance consulting projects for private and public sector clients.
• Teaches courses in Hazardous Materials Management Certificate programs, University of California. In 1994 he was named as the "Outstanding Teacher" in the Santa Cruz Extension program.
• Prior professional experience at Toward Utility Rate Normalization (TURN) as Staff Counsel; and at California Public Utilities Commission, San Francisco as Advisor to the President.
