Barry Zalma
Mr. Zalma has authored, in addition to his books for STP, several books on property and liability claims, numerous articles for insurance trade publications and law journals, a monthly publication, Zalma’s Insurance Fraud Letter, and a collection of articles on his website called Zalma on Insurance. He acts as an expert commentator for the International Risk Management Institute and is the author of computer based training programs for people in the business of insurance. Mr. Zalma consults with plaintiffs and defendants concerning insurance coverage issues, insurance claims handling, and bad faith. He has qualified as an expert in state and federal courts in California, Mississippi, Texas, New Mexico, and the British Crown Colony in the Grand Caymans. He is an internationally recognized expert on insurance claims handling, insurance coverage, insurance fraud, and insurance bad faith. Mr. Zalma is available to analyze any insurance dispute. He will assist litigants to resolve their insurance dispute by negotiation, motion, or trial. Through Zalma Insurance Consultants, Mr. Zalma also provides litigation support, consultation, and expert testimony to the public and the bar across the U.S. In addition to the American Bar Association and the California Bar, Mr. Zalma is a member of the Southern California Fraud Investigators Association (SCFIA), the California Conference of Arson Investigators, the International Association of Arson Investigators, the Forensic Expert Witness Association (FEWA), and has been awarded the designation of Certified Fraud Examiner and Fraud Claim Law Specialist. Mr. Zalma serves as a member of the faculty of the Virtual University of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers Association (IIABA), has served on the Board of Directors of the FEWA and the SCFIA, and on the continuing education faculty of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. |
